5:30 p.m., City Hall

Members Present: Larry Thomas, Noelle Kroll, Mike Herdt, Kit Baumann and Kollin Syverson

Absent: None

President Thomas called the special City Commission meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.

Thomas opened the public hearing for Brenarlo Enterprises.  Brett Narloch with Brenarlo Enterprises was present for public hearing on the cancellation of Brenarlo liqour license.  Thomas informed the public that at the 12-9-2019 City Commission meeting the board voted to cancel Brenarlo Enterprises liquor license due to delinquent taxes.  Per Ordinance #139, one of the qualifications is that the property taxes for the building in which the licensed premises are located may not be delinquent.  Per the ordinance the licensee has the right to a public hearing. This is that public hearing.

Narloch informed the board that due to lack of oversight, he typically sets up the taxes and insurance for his businesses to be paid out of escrow.  This was not done and has paid a portion of the taxes online today, 12-18-2019.  He had every intention of paying the whole amount but was not able to and will pay the remaining balance tomorrow.

Thomas asked if he could have these paid by Friday 12-20-2019.  Narloch responded he did not see why not.  Thomas motioned to rescind the cancellation of Brenarlo Enterprises liquor license from 12-9-2019, with the conditions that the 2017 and 2018 property taxes be paid in full by 12-20-2019 at 4:30p.m. and if they are paid by then to approve the 2020 liquor license renewal. Syverson seconded.  Syverson asked if Narloch would send a confirmation to Price indicating that the taxes have been paid in full.  Narloch will email the confirmation.  Syverson would rather see something from McLean County.  Upon roll call, all members present voted aye.  Motion carried.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
